Forward the rain
Bride to be
Sits in weeping silence
Unwanted vow
Souls joined by force
Tradition written in stone

Forward the thunderous storm
Clear sky hopes to be tainted
Her destiny became her at birth
The rest of her life was chosen

She fears the night
Stranger in her bed
Tears streak her solemn face
She has no say

He got no sleep last night
Ran to hide, hid to survive
Afraid of where his anger would lead
Afraid to move
He waits in the hills
Approaches the storm with fury

She looks to the thunderous clouds
Approaching to save her, the sky darkens
Her mother consoles her
Knowing the pain
Her new master leads her to alter

He feels the rage of the storm overhead
An omen
Racing to the chapel
Bloodlust
No one knew what the rains would bring

With the wind a scream
Bursting the doors
Her savior
Black death in his eyes
Throwing his body in bloody rage
He destroys the thief of his dreams

His cracking neck echoes in her head
As she tends her garden of dust
Unfeeling, numb, dead
He took her sanity with him
As he waits for her
In the hills under the storm
